The Topwater name is a nod to our community’s coastal heritage and Colton’s late father, Jeff Lightner. Jeff was a local carpenter and project superintendent for over 30 years. One of his favorite things in life, in addition to his family and profession, was fishing. He often utilized a topwater fishing approach, which consistently paid dividends in the form of big catches and great family memories. Colton likens his father’s topwater approach to his own financial planning approach. Financial planning is an ever-changing process that demands monitoring, attention to detail, and action. The markets move faster than ever in our modern information age.
